There's not much I can say about this game cuz it's pretty self-explanatory and impressive on its own. But I will anyway.
It's a blood-thirsty quest for Revenge! And who doesn't love a good Revenge story, right?
My first impression was that it resembles Assassin's Creed in the sense that the main character is a young shaved white guy with a hoodie on... and several blades... climbing buildings, assassinating people, blending in with the crowd and so on... aka "lots of fun" Hehe!
But as I was playing, it looked more and more like a shameless repackaging of Spider Man: Web of Shadow And in fact - IT IS
ACTIVISION did a great job with both, don't get me wrong, but the overall combat (especially tendrils and hammer-fists corresponding to Spidey's symbiotic-infected Black Suit, and the drop-kicks ), the "flying around town" mode and "every roof is an accessible roof" idea, the AI behavior, picking up cars and throwing them at helicopters and tanks, mission acquisition, side-missions... shit, even the keyboard layout is the same.
But I'm NOT COMPLAINING
Spider Man: WoS is a GREAT game! And yet for those who think super-heroes are gay or just that Marvel DC Comics are for children Prototype is a grim hard-core underground (also improved) version of what you would get from Peter Parker's red&blue tights persona.
"Improved"? one may ask. YES! I will answer: * it's not as repetitive * the character is much cooler (a sort of pissed-off Anakin Skywalker right before he got the Darth Vader suit) * much MORE GORE(people get sliced and diced similar (yet worse) to Activision's other youngest creations X-Men Origins: Wolverine) * the story is much darker than our friendly neighbourhood spider's and it unfolds in quite an original manner (we'll talk about consuming targets later on)... * and the whole city's atmosphere is much more stylized, some environments seem like Hell on Earth, others are like an urban battlefield, others are like a really nice Manhattan zone with just you causing shit like breaking a traffic light down and causing a traffic crash followed by a traffic jam Haha Not to mention graphics! Really satisfying in every other detail you couldn't find in Spidey's world... like blood! Haha!
Instead of web slinging it has sprinting, dashing, jumping really high and (most pleasant and efficient of all) air-gliding. Wall climbing is similar, though, and button smashing combinations are just as entertaining.
Moving on to The NEW features: * you can grab any weapons from the ground and shoot the fuck outta your competition! - the artillery revolves around m16's, grenade launchers, missile launchers... and probably more since I haven't finished the game xD
* you can hijack and control several (incredibly fun) vehicles - APC's (sort of light-weight tanks), Tanks, Hiperbaric Tanks (yeah, alotta Kaboom!) transporters and Helicopters (though I may have missed a few, you get the general idea)
* And then there's the CONSUMING feature of the game. Basically you can grab any NPC (run a little with it till u hit a nice roof or a hideout, or just follow the next step on the spot) and then you decompose it into blood and goo and merge it in your own body to accomplish one of the following: 1. Steal memories 411 101 - the bits of information you get from someone are connected to a "web of intrigue" layout which connect dot-to-dot the whole plot of the game 1.2. Steal aptitudes - learning to handle a tank takes around 8 months for tank engineers? minimum? well our boy just needs a tank engineer to consume and Presto! skills have been acquired 1.3. Steal keys and data and clearance stuff to get to places. 2. Assume their identity - you literally morph into your last consumed victim whenever you want And you do this to: - gain entrance into secret bases without raising suspicion or risking major alerts, fight alongside soldiers or cops and they're thinking you're one of the guys - walk around without being conspicuous, without scaring people or targets, without attracting unwanted attention - lose your pursuers - once you hit a corner or break line of sight you can switch shapes and you're off the hook
Well I think there are much more things to mention about the game but I bet nobody's gonna read even half of this, so I'll just get straight to my screenshots:

I gotta try out the Hulk game is it open-world like this one?
The storyline of Prototype is kinda like The Suffering but on a larger scale than even Baltimore (from Suffering 2) ... and it's Open World! What more could you want?

Skyjacking step by step (the Heli spins like hell when you're beating up the pilots... really fun to fly in afterwards though ) it's more fun when you do it than when u look at pictures here is some cutting-scenes and some cutscenes :
don't u just love it how every attack power (claws, hammerfist, etc.) has 2 or 3 different consuming animations? they're so cool the most EP points I had at one time was ~2 400 000 but I started spending them because I wasn't supposed to gather them, I was supposed to invest them in new upgrades
